Tick,
      Tick,
My footsteps tap,
Along the icy path.

Cars pass,
Slick and shiny,
Perspiring in the cold.

My breath rises,
A foggy cloud,
Torn apart,
Instantly.

My fingers wriggle,
An attempt at warmth,
Infinite,
        Futility.

Clouds roll,
        Far above,
Ominous,
Threatening.

Time passes,
Smiling,
Unaffected,
Un-Cold.
