Proudly they sit,
Floating on water,
Running their beaks,
Through their feathers.
"Oh, how gorgeous we are"
They admire themselves,
In their rippled reflections,
On the glassy, mirror-like surface.
They stay on the water,
To hide their legs,
And their strange,
Backwards knees.
Ah, the swans,
How vain they are,
Sparrows and finches,
Are far sweeter.

Oh and you already know what I feel about this poem, so I'll just leave it at that.

God has blessed us with so much, but how often do we take the time to truly appreciate and be grateful for something? Or to say thank you? Be thankful and remember it's better to give than to take.
